Marilyn Schweickart, 87, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 26, 1936, in Dayton, OH, to Wilmer and Josephine Monnin, Marilyn grew up with a spirit that touched everyone she met. She attended Patterson Co-op High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and was crowned prom queen, a testament to her vibrant personality and the affection others felt for her.Marilyn met Lou Schweickart, at the Catholic Young People’s Club, and they married in 1959. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter, raising four children who were always encouraged to pursue their dreams and stay true to themselves. In 1969, after a few local moves, the family settled on Blossom Park Drive in West Carrollton. Their home quickly became the heart of the neighborhood, often buzzing with activity as local children dropped by after school to share their days.
