Nora LaViana (Heffner) Storer passed away peacefully July 02, 2024 at her home in Huber Heights, Ohio at the age of 93. Nora was born to Harrison Franklin and Anna Mae (Coulers) Heffner on January 12, 1931 in Bethel Township, Phoneton, Ohio.Nora graduated from Bethel High School in 1949 as Valedictorian of her class. She worked for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a secretary for many years, until leaving to start her family in 1958.She loved to crochet, read, do cross word puzzles, and search and find books. Nora crocheted towels that you could hang in your kitchen for every holiday (then we would give them out as Christmas presents), Barbie doll clothes, afghans, baby blankets, and Mr. and Mrs. Snowman. She coached the girls’ softball team at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren many years ago and we are still in touch with some of the former players. Nora enjoyed working at the election polls in Huber Heights for numerous years.Nora worked side by side with her late husband, Russell (
